i have an alpine 7894 and ive been reading about the V drive and how you need 10GA wiring etc. i tried hooking up the deck with the regular harness and the deck wouldnt even turn on...what does this mean? the deck is busted? thanks please let me know
you sure it's the pre-outs, and not teh amplifier's wiring? is teh amp properly wired to the battery, and grounded to bare metal? is the remote trigger wired to the REM blue wire of the Alpine, and not to the PWR ANT lead? Is the amp turning on, and are the RCAs connected to the right set of pre-outs? If this is for subs, is SUBW enabled in the Alpine's setup screens? Is it set to -0 or higher level? Is DEFEAT turned on or off?
alright took it to the shop, he hooked up something to the rca outs, it made some beeping noises and did the same on the amp. and now it works. he told me something but i forgot what it was.
