loctite power grab i used on mine for a basic quick hoild then over layed all of it with gorilla glue. i'm going to give u the best advice since it was my first build, be prepared to sand with gorilla glue. in my eyes with gorilla glues epasion over flows the best cause u can sand it smooth and still have a extreamly good seal.
mdf 3 quarter is good, one inch i the best u can do but weighs and costs a ton. in most lows it's known as underlymeant but it's gotta be mdf aka medium density fiber board. oh and lots of clamps. i didn't have them and it was rough as hell to do it. mine from buying to the end of build took 13 hours and did it in one day. i also took a ton of time making sure everything was perfect to the best i could. if i do a new box which is still a possibility in the future it be alot faster but thats a rough idea for you. for a first box go with 3 quarter mdf, cost is roughly 23 bucks a sheet at a lowes or h depot. troupan i say leave alone till skilled so if u mess up no huge money loss. what makes boxes come out the best is a pencil, some time, a tape measure and a solid air tight glue bond.

yeah mdf or trupan

then wood glue the sides together and if you have one use a nail gun to hold it instead of clamps

after the nail gun space out some screws into it

then silicon all the corners on the inside
