i went to home depot in my dads truck, bought a sheet of mdf and put it in his bed. Long story short, it rained overnight and i was sleepin out and couldn't move it. Its kinda just drizzling but im sure the mdfs pretty damp. Is it ruined??
Once i let it dry out for a while, will it be ok? if it IS ruined and i say **** it and use it anyway, what will happen other than it'll be weaker? Will it still be airtight?
this storm came outta the east, the paper had it dry through saturday, so of course i washed all of our black and blue cars on saturday, now they sit in the driveway wet and dirty
haha im pissed, but its gonna be my first box so its kinda just practice so i dont care, when i build my final box ill care, but what the hell, lesson learned
my dad's a building contractor, so i just take the wood to the amish carpenters and they cut it down to the sizes i need so it works out. I find it it ironic that i have amish guys cut wood down for me to put a subwoofer in my car
A while back, a friend and myself did the same thing and left the mdf in his truck. It was fcked. Probably near 1" wide and instead of being flat, the board was bending and real weak.. Good news is it wasn't for me so I didn't pay for it lol.
LOL x2 ^^^ ya it finally rained here too after the news kept saying it was gonna rain for like 2 weeks and it never did so i was like f^ck it i just left the mdf on the back and today i wake up and it is wet it got like some bumps on it from the water but it wasnt even a half sheet of mdf so i am not pissed lol
it actually turned out to not even be that wet, I just cut it in half (one half totally dry, one half like barely wet) and used the dry half. Box build was suprisingly easy
