I built a test box for my 9515 and I put the sub firing up and port back for my first box test. My question is how close to the back wall is to close for the port? Its about 2 or 3 inches from the rear of the vehicle. I can turn it around and fire the port to the front if need be which I will probably do to test and see how it sounds. I was wondering is there some sort of rule as to how close it should be or not be? Here is a pic.Upload

It hits like a mofo just don't wanna hurt the sub by choking the port.

can you move it back a bit farther? also you won't choke the port. it would change the tuning a bit but you are fine.

i used a termlab to determine the best distance my box should be fromt he back wall. i've had it that close to farther away. it hit about the same. it just peaked at different frequencies. not much though.
