Hey man, i need to ask you about the grounding of a pioneer headunit. My headunit whines horribly and everything is setup right. What is the step by step instructions u keep telling every1 about grounding it through the RCA cables?

Ah, the dreaded pioneer RCA ground problem.


Take a piece of wire and connect one end to the outer ring part of the RCA connector, and connect the other end to the metal case of the HU. Do that for both RCA connectors.

Where at on the metal case. And does that make a ground at all? Considering that my RCAs arent even connected to the chassis.

Do I need to keep my ground from the car to the back of the HU?

Yes they are, inside the HU. That circuit is what burns out and causes the noise problem.

Umm yeah, you're HU ain't gonna work if it's not grounded.
