Why sub on passanger side

i don't know if you have noticed i was looking at boxes and why when there is only one sub it is on the passangers side and the port is on the drivers side? or is it just to late to be thinking

I think its more common in spl comps. If you see people do walls, mainly the ones I seen, the port is always on the driver side and subs on the passenger. I'm guessing this is so because at comps, they place the tl on the passenger side to get the best results. I'm not 100% sure, so thats a guess.

i got a single cab truck and my sub is on the passenger and port on the drivers side.no reason,thats just the way I built it,and it sound great.

if you meter on the passanger side.. port the drivers side and itll load the area where the mic is best..

and this is how i run my setup :-)
