Do you think I'm gonna need a new alternator?

I'm gonna be running an sx700.4 or a 900.4 and i was wondering if I'll new a ho alt. for my '94 Chevy Tracker. the sx700.4 is 2 40 amp fuses and the sx 900.4 is 3 40 amp fuses. thanks.

what size is your stock alt? but it would never hurt to get a HO alternator ( high output ) in case you upgrade later, and most people upgrade later lol.

yeah thats why im asking because im not sure what size it is and im having trouble finding out lol. well right now im gonna run an old ppi 8, sealed so i wont need to turn it up much. then when i get a new sub i'll save a few more moths for an alt.

....well save when you get newer stuff,when you get a or pair of subs...then upgrade alt+subs at same time....if anything alt first. if you keep gains low it shouldn't bother it at all......
