What is the difference between a multimeter and an oscillioscope? And what are the benefits of owning an oscillioscope?

o-scopes actually show you the wave.

DMM's just read numerical data...ex: voltage, resistance, current

Show a graph of the numbers?

So basically both are the same but the o-scope has a graph..?
Am i correct?
