Are these subs worth the money most specifly the 8500 or the 9500. I never hear anything about them on here and went to a local shop and was impressed by them.

there decent subs, the reason there not mentioned much is because theres so much better stuff out there for less money, i've personally only heard the 5500 series and thought they sucked but maybe the higher models are better.

forget all that, man those 9500s pound. heard em firsthand. people on here want to spend all their lil money on car audio, if you want mtx, go with the 7500 series or better. you will get a reasonably priced system that pounds

i can compare em to those overpriced jl subs, kickers, etc. Im juss sayin that my guy had the 7500s (15s) in his 2001 Monte Carlo, and he dam near made my ears bleed. he juss recently put the 9500 12s (cuz the 15s wouldnt fit in the trunk) and when you turn the dam things past 15, the door panels pop in and out and the rear view falls off. I would never pay retail for em, but alot of u on this forum wouldnt pay retail for the stuff you get. But to me not a lot is beating those 9500s for that price range.

i think the 9500s are worth the money. i think u can find the 9500 12s for like 360 shipped on ebay....

i still dont know y no one mentions mtx on this site. personally i like the 8500s and 9500s and i think they have pretty good sq. a lot more sq than any kicker, and also have a ton of spl.

i heard 2 10" 7500's they hit 145 db and sounded pretty good id only imagine what the 9500 would produce.. MTX claims they can handle alot of power lol i believe they have compared it to a W7 and some kicker sub L7 i think and the 9500 handled the most power all the others blew i remember that video off of their website lol

ya i guess its possible, with 800rms. but those subs suck pretty bad. a 15" 7500 would be as loud as those, and ive heard a 15" 8500 in the cab of a truck, powered properly and in the sledgehammer box. its not as loud as my cvrs in my car...and the 8500s are alot better than the 7500s.
