what's the sq like? my friend had a 15" mojo in a box with a huge port and it sounded like sh!t but he didn't know much about anything.

the SQs alright, its deffinately louder than it is nice sounding, but if you turn it down a little it sounds great.

I take it this new box is larger in usable airspace than your first one and your port tune is the same....too large of a box for a sub is something ive found usually has a negative effect on the sq. Id also be willing to bet your subwoofers excursion is much greater in this new box. I personally think the more excursion you get from a subwoofer the less sq you maintain assuming there arent any other situations done improperly. I believe its also about timing going along with subwoofer control.

well, yeah it has more airspace and i knew the SQ was gonna be down, i tuned it to like 35-40 hz, you cant be 100% sure

i tuned it high because i wanted spl, i got lucky and it does sound really clean at low volumes, up high it just plain blows your ears out
