I have a 10W7 in a ported box to JL specs, and i have a alpine mrd-m605 amp to power it ( 400W x1 @ 4 ohms, 600W x1 @ 2 ohms) will this amp be sufficient to get the W7 bumpin?? I have had ppl tell me that to get the 10W7 really bumpin that i need something like the 1000/1 or something similiar.

umm idk about the whole 3ohms thing lol but the 10w7 is rated at 500rms so yeah it would work pretty good but not sure how you would wire it id ask rovin someone else on here about that

well it's a 3 ohm single voice coil sub, and a 1 channel amp , so wiring is no problem.

because they are rated at 14.4 volts what rms do you think theyll produce seeing 12.5-13.5 volts on a stock alt.?

400-500 watts probably won't be enough to see it's full potential, that's what i thought , i heard the 10W7 on the 1000Watt alpine amp at a store, and it could've used a lot more juice i was thinking.
