The only thing holding my box together is CARPET!! Pure Pressure!! My subs were practically playing FREE AIR!! Since my box been flexing, its been like this!! The entire back wall of the box, was not connected! I added some screws, but still rattles like a snake!!
You have two Treo TSX 15's right? Are you really happy with em. And also I just bought two hifonics 1500d amps to power the same subs you have. Have you had any problems with way over powering your subs rms level with those two 2500 watt orions?
yea... I blew a TSX!! well, not sure when it happened... I must say, 1 TSX with 2500 is a FOOL!! lol!! I wouldnt have know anything was wrong if I didnt check!! I got a new TSX yesterday, and replaced it.. just payed shipping on the bad one... My dealer is the MAN!! Yes, its Even TWICE as loud now!!
Conclusion of blowing I think: After inpsection, I realized that my wires in 1 chamber got so hott, from the power, it melted... Im going to be using 8ga for my subs!!
Also the sub that blew, the back side of the box on that end, was open 1inch!! then other side, like 1/2inch... so yea, almost all the air left the back of the box and not the port!! I blame the box also...

B, i think with 2500w rms daily you will find yourself blowing them over and over. c'mon they may be beasts but your asking too much from them lol. to be honest i think you should either get SSI 15s or just use 1 2500d. but there is no way giving tsx's 2500w rms daily will have them last forever...
yea, I dont recomend anyone do what im doing... but man.. they take it and dont sweat.. Plus i pay 40$ for new one... I could have gotten 2 SSI 15s yesterday for 250$$ with trade in... I passed.. The TSX will do till I get 2 SSX 15s in a mnth or two; then add double power..
whoa whoa whoa! yoru going to run 5000w rms to each SSX? how are you going to power the amps? you'll need twin 300A alts and a battery bank... or am i misunderstanding you? lol
yea, the SSX can take that kind of power easy.. Ill need a 2nd 300a, and bracket for it... Im sure I can work that easily.. Ill prob need about 6batts to be exact.. but 3 kinetik will do that easy.. LOL
