Had trouble hearing out of my right ear for the past couple of months so I decided to go to the doctor the other day. I figured it was blocked so no big deal. He told me that my ear was perfectly clear, which means there may be permanant hearing loss. Not sure what it is from. I have always been around loud music for the last number of years. Probably didn't help it out. I'm on medication for 10 days, and if that don't work, I have to go see a specialist for treatment or something. Doctor said no loud music at all for the time being :-(. Impossible not too so I'll just be careful from now on, lol

Ears will once in a while ring on there own. Tinitis is more of a rumble (I have it) and disapeers with the slightest of ambient noise but will come back in complete silence. It is funny the body has its natural defense mechanism and ear wax is one of them. Not only does it help capture germs and remove them , your body will put it out to protect your hearing. You may need to clean your ears more often when listening to loud music, swimming or become ill. Regardless it is not an instantaneous process and unless you left it there would do you no good so you need to limit your exposure. No matter how much loud DBs you epose yourself to it is not good for your hearing but limiting the exposure can only help... IMHO> Polo.. :-)

the other day i was mowing, so i listened to my sister's mp3. It was hard to hear over the mower, so i had it really loud for a long time. I dont know how long but it was about 2 acrs. After i was done my ears would not stop ringing, but when i heard noise, they quit. when it was silent, they rang again. It was weird and i thought i raelly hurt my ears, But it quit after a while.

My grandpa has been a musician all his life and he has hearing problems. Well shoot, all my family has hearing problems, my grandpa, my dad, and my uncle. They all are musicians. And they all listened to loud music.

My dad thinks its useless to have a system so loud to have earplugs. I want a system loud enough to kill everyone elses around me(my town is really small and everyone has walmart subs so it should be easy), but not near 165db. 160 at the most for me.
