Gold Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 1322 Registered: Feb-05 | coaxials have the tweeters mounted on a post stuck in the middle of the woofer. simple capacitor to divide signals. cheaper and basically factory replacements. components have a seperate woofer and tweeter and also a seperate crossover to divide signals. this gives you more options for installation. the crossovers will usually have adjustments for tuning too. Components will take more power most of the time too, therefore they have the potential to be louder. i don't like 6x9's, you will typically get better SQ from a 5.25 or 6.5 inch round speaker. |

Something less expensive but still good is Pioneer and lastly, something that i think gives the best bang for the buck is Logic Sound Labs. i know most people say they are crap but no one has a problem hearing me coming down the road with my logic 5.25. if you go with logic, only go with the ZX series tho. the others really are crap. http://www.logicsoundlab.com/ZX693.html |
