IF anyone ordered a RE SE, and received it today, would you please let me know how it sounds? I'm still debating between the SE and Type R and I have before the 31st of Dec to decide. Thanks.
i know someone with a set. he was running them off a modded MTX 1501D. he was impressed. says they hit hard with good sq. i would hit up the re forum. i'm sure there will be multiple posts in the group buy thread.
the type R IMO is overrated. it's a good sub, but not on the level of the RE SE. Plus, why would you want an Alpine anyways? they used to sell them at CC!
For one thing, I have heard the type R and it's pretty decent for a low price, however I'm not sure what to expect in the RE SE. I aiming for more spl as well because both have very good sq.
got 1 15" SE on the way, will be in a 2cuft. sealed enclosure in the etx. cab of a 90' ranger. most likely downfireing and will be powered by a JBL bp600.1 not sure what to expect either compared to my 2 12" vega VMAXs. cant wait to hear the difference. ill post asap on how it sounds
