If you want SPL, RE has their MT. Trey, I didn't understand your 2nd question. You could also go with the W7 from JL Audio, I believe Treo has some good subs, although I'm not familiar with them, the IDMAX from Image Dynamics, and right now I'm having a brain f@rt so everything else is escaping me... But I'll post as soon as I remember. |

Silver Member Username: LanzarchampBakersfield, California United States Post Number: 261 Registered: Sep-05 | re audio specs all sizes re 175 watts rms se 600 watts rms sx 1000 watts rms xxx 1600 watts rms mt 2500-? watts rms and yes if both the sx and the xxx are given the same amount of power the sx will be louder, say like 1000 watts rms, but the xxx takes more so anymore wattage given the xxx will win, but the sq that the xxx puts out is amazing, but most people would be greatly appreciative to have 2 sx 12's the sx will beat the mtx 9500 in sq, spl, and its more dependable and cheaper imo an sq sub puts out great sound quality where as a spl sub gets loud with no regards to having sq |

JL's W7s are excellent SQL/SQ subs (SQL = a combo of SQ and SPL). And yea, what Dustin said on different subs, all very good. And when it comes to size, remember that the bigger you go, the more volume you're going to get with the same amount of power. If you're really looking for SPL, without regard to room for a box (the bigger the sub, generally, the bigger the box, esp if you're going ported). |
