I have two 12" alpine type r's 500rms a peice in a seald box with a jbl 600.1 powering the two and my freind has a kicker 600.1 powering two kicker 12" l7. which is better?
.. umm maybe he doesn't want pure spl? keep the type r's... they are good.

now if i just have the volume up a little then sq can be a factor or in your home now when you want to bump lill jhon and running 2000 watt of power sq???? where in your mind? what kind of sq can you hear at 150 db? please let me know?
I don't recall wanyone wanting sq at 150dbs.. kindly clarify wtf that has to do with anything?.. loudness doesn't have to mean .. how much ground you can shake.
you are rite and i was wrong, i assumed he ment that he wanted to know who was better, and when one makes that statement one is led to belive he want his system louder then his frinds, i may be wrong he could just want his to sound better sq wise, he did not say what he ment by better.
well i do enjoy sq but wont mine be louder too because i have the bigger amp even though he has the louder kickers? plus im putting mine in a ported box.
if ported those type r's will be loud.. and clear.. they should carry over those kickers.. which are made for spl.. they will shake.. yours will be heard more ;).
