I have been looking around for this for about a month and a half i have heard good things and bad things about subs but never can get a straight answer. Thats why i joined. I was wondering what is everyones thoughts on audiopipe, power acoustik, and SPL subwoofers. I will buy what i need to start this up but the input from others is really what i will base my purchases off of becasue all of you know whats going on becasue i haven't looked for subs in awhile things change.

Power Acoustik = NO
SPL = NO
Audiopipe = ???

Lets start with what type of budget you have and the sound you're looking for.
Also what size and how many subs do you want?

Ok I have about a $1000 to start out with if it goes over i can still afford it. The size and quantity are 2-12" subs and dual 2 ohm if possible. The amp i can match up when i find out what subs i will be getting. I already have a 1.25 cu. ft. sealed box but am willing to buy a different one if needed. I am looking for good sound quality and med to high spl/.

Visonik is junk too.

Are you just looking for Subs & Amp? If so $1000 gives you a lot of options.

Like Jonathan suggested in another thread
-1 Adire Audio Bramha $379 Shipped
-1 MTX 1501d $362 shipped
-1 1/O Gauge amp kit from www.Knukoncepts.com $80

Leaves $180 for the box, a case of bear and a movie

You can get the JBL GTO 1201.1 for about $300 shipped. the BP1200.1 is getting harder to find.

Can get the Kicker 1200.1 for around $400

buy what these guys are recomending cant go wrong with re or brahma but if you buy the amps they are suggesting either is good but keep your alternator in mind because they draw serious amps current wise ....oh im not sure of the ohms of the brahma and re but make sure you dont go below 2 oms mono with the mtx and 1 ohm with the jbl amp

Thanks for the pricing. I think i might go with the 2-12" brahmas. What amp would be good to power them.
