I have a viper (571xv, I think) remote start with alarm and I just had a general question. When I remote start my car, the light continue to flash on and off. I thought that once the car remote starts, the lights will flash once to let you know that the car is attempting to start, and then the lights will go off or they will just stay on the whole time the car is running until you put the key in or the time runs out. Am I incorrect about this?
they should flash for the 12 minutes that the remote start is activated. at least everyone i have installed ahs done this. unless it has daytime running lights then once it cranks they stay on all the time.
That is a programming feature of all dei products. The default is flashing head lights. I always program that to constant. If you take it back to the place that installed it, they should be able to change the lights to constant for you.
