I recently bought my upgrade component speakers from a morel maximo to a CDT ES620 eurosport. Does anybody know the x-over point between the mid/woofer and the tweeter of this component speakers and at what db/octave? I have been emailing CDT regarding this but no response from them. Will be running them full active with the use of the MS-8, any suggestions on my x-over settings.
My existing settings:

Front speakers (Morel maximo)
Tweeter- 3500hz 12db
Mid/ woofer- 60hz 12db

Center speaker
Jensen 300hz -up 12db (full range)

Rear speakers
Boston acoustics coaxial- 50hz -up 12db (full range)

Subwoofer
Bazooka tube BTA6100 6.5 amplified sub -60Hz 18db

For my new upgrade CDT ES620, I am open to any suggestion:

Front speakers (CDT ES620)
Tweeter- _________ db ____
Mid/ woofer- _________ db _____

Center speaker
Jensen __________db____(full range)

Rear speakers
Boston acoustics coaxial- _________ db ____ (full range)

Subwoofer
Bazooka tube BTA6100 6.5 amplified sub ______ db _____

Thanks for the input. Any suggestions with regards to the frequency cut off between the sub, mid/woofer, center channel and the tweeters.

From the frequency range of the tweeter it can be inferred where to cross. As with all bigger diameter drivers (1") it will be low:

Hi Joe, Do you have any suggestions regarding my frequency cut-off? Or, retain the old x-over setting?

Front speakers (CDT ES620)
Tweeter- ____?_____12db
Mid/ woofer- _____?____ 12db

Center speaker
Jensen ______?____12db(full range)

Rear speakers
Boston acoustics coaxial- _____?____ 12db (full range)

Subwoofer
Bazooka tube BTA6100 6.5 amplified sub ___?___ 24db

And would you advice that I should protect my tweeters with a 20uf cap?
THANKS!

Front speakers (CDT ES620)
tweeter: anywhere around 1.5K to 2K
mid: 60Hz to the same frequency as above

Introducing a capacitor will generate phasing, one goes actve with DSPs to avoid that, if you want use it while you are setting up, once you are sure it's not getting lower frequencies remove it.

I would hipass the bostons to 60Hz also (optional), the rest can stay as before for now until you get bored and change it.

See how it goes Carlos, best of luck.

Ok thanks so much! Will update you and will also try to transfer my tweeters on the doors about 2 inches above the mid/woofer.
