Raulbente you need to remove the radio. they are too small holes each side of the radio use an old metal coat hanger 4 darts or very small screwdriver or long nails. put into holes about 4-5cms and push outwards sideways and carefully pull radio forward. you must do the holes on each side at the same time
Then post the numbers/letters from below the main barcode something like 7700xxxxxxtt123 or 8200xxxxtt123 or the security code like Q123 or T0U123 can be found in a small box then i can help you off of the radio
Hi, slightly different question from me. I have a Laguna II 2002 and the sat nav screen has died on it some time ago and Renault are asking almost £2000 to have it repaired, so I've left it as it is. The battery just recently went flat and had to be recharged and now the radio doesn't work. I know the 4-digit radio code but, of course, am having to input it blind without the sat-nav screen.
I'm not sure the thumb-wheel method will work for me since I won't know how much to rotate it, but you mentioned to a clio owner above about pressing the preset buttons multiple times. Does this work on a Laguna II as well (as this might be more reliable for me)? I've seen on another site that you have to press preset '1' once and then press it again the right number of times for the first digit of the keycode and so on for the 4 presets, or do you just press preset '1' the right number of times for the first digit (without the initial press).

Hi hay88, do you mean the model number of the car or the radio? The car is a 3.0 litre Laguna II (52 reg) from Sep02. I've tried both ways of entering the number (with or without a starting 0) and it didn't work, but I may have not waited long enough (can't tell since I can't see the screen!), so I'll try to give it at least 35 minutes between each try and attempt it again.

Not sure if you remember, but I wrote a couple of weeks ago with a 2002 Laguna II with sat nav where the sat nav is no longer working (so I'm working blind when trying to enter the code on the radio). You were quite helpful and advised how I should try to use the buttons on the radio to enter the code, but weren't sure whether I needed to press '1' once before then pressing it again n times for the 1st digit etc.
I've tried both ways (pressing '1' once before the 1st digit and not etc.) but neither seemed to work and now the radio beeps every time I press anything (button on radio, volume control etc.). Not sure if it's locked in some way, so I've tried disconnecting the battery and, just now, also removed the radio and all power etc from it. However, it's made no difference and radio still beeps every time I press anything.
Not sure what to do now. While I had the radio out, I noted down the device details as follows:
