Getting protect light on my amp

hey my amp isnt working and i think it has something to do with the remote wire. its hooked up to a kenwood ddx512 radio and the radio has a cord named remote.... and ive tried connecting to it and nothing is happening and i dont know why. i know the amp and sub work fine because i tried them in a friends car and they were ok. any suggestions? i will be online o and my amp name is linear ul2600d

Hook the remote wire to the positive lead to see if the amp work!

There is 2 way to hook the remote on your Kenwood, on the wire made for it or on the antenna output!

Do NOT use the power antenna lead as a remote trigger. Your amplifier will then only turn on when using the radio, and will not work when playing a CD.
