So I'm running a little over 1200RMS watts. When I first turn my car on and play music sort of loud, sounds great, earth shattering bass and all. If I drive a long distance (20+ mins) and continue listening to songs with a fair amount of bass at loud volumes, the bass will eventually get quieter and quieter. Does this mean I need a better battery or alternator? Lights never dim (ever since the BIG 3) and car always starts quick. Before when I was running 700RMS I didn't have this problem. What do you guys think?
How hot do the amps get after running 20min and the bass starts to fade? And has this occurred since you've installed the amps or is it a recent problem?
And yes, it is definitely a possibility that you need an alternator with a higher amperage output.
