Hi, i have a renegade 1400 watt 4-channel amp, powering alpine type-r 6x9's and a alpine type-r 1500 watt sub but rms is 500 watt. My amp keeps going into protection mode as soon as i turn the headunit on.

Has anyone got any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance for the help guys!

Is the ground good? Change the location and make sure all paint is sanded/scraped away.

Make sure the power supply is in there tight. Also you may have wired the sub the wrong way. Double check that you did and you could also try crossing the wires
