great amplifier but they are pricey

you can get something that will work with your sub at a better price

what is the vc config of your sub?

I actually just bought the car and it comes with the alpine amp so the price isn't an issue. The only thing new I would be installing is the sub and thats why I was curious if the amp is good enough.

The amp has dual 2 ohm voice coils.

it will work just fine. you can wire it either way shown in the link below because the pdx amplifiers put out the same amount of power into any ohm load 1-4.

do you already have the sub?

i would recommend a different sub though...dont get me wrong - the L5 is an alright subwoofer but you can get better for your money

The Alpine PDX-1.600 is a sub amp,so it will work for your sub(s) not speakers.
