Both crap brands of amps.

I'd recommend a Kicker ZX400.1 or Alpine MRP-M500

Then get a Kicker ZX1000.1 or Alpine MRP-M1000

SS amps are crap quality and hifonics amps do not do claimed power.

cvr's are not available as svc's. If you have a pair of svc 4's now and you're getting dvc 4's then I would suggest a 1 ohm stable mono amp that will do around 1000w at 1 ohm. At 2 ohms temporarily you should have more than adequate power for the MTX's.

The Hifonics bxi1208 or 1210d would work well. That should give you 600w or so at 2 ohms (300 each for your mtx's) and around 1000 at 1 ohm.
Or there's the Audioque 1200D that everyone seems to love. A little more power, $250 shipped.

FWIW - IMO both the XTA and Hifonics Brutus amps are decent amps. I don't think being over-rated is such a bad thing as long as the power/$ ratio is good, and the HF's are among the best avaialable.
Plus they are VERY popular and I don't see all that many reports of failure which leads me to believe they are fairly durable.
