Hey guys, im kinda new to this board, but this is where i come when i need a bit of help/opinions on what i should do.
Ok, i have a Jenson 720 amp, here are the specs:
Power Output/Installation Modes: Total Peak Music Power 720 Watts Peak Power per channel @ 2 ohm - 360W x 2 RMS Power per channel @ 2 ohm - 180W x 2 Peak Power per channel @ 4 ohm - 260W x 2 RMS Power per channel @ 4 ohm - 130W x 2 Peak Power bridged @ 4 ohm -720W x 1 RMS Power bridged @ 4 ohm - 360W x 1 PWM MOSFET power supply
and ive got 2 12" SVC 4 OHM MTX Jackhammers in a ported box.
What i want to know is, what is the best way to hook these up so i get maximum power out of both my subs and amp without blowing either one. Ive been all over crutchfield looking at diagrams but i dont know which one hookup to choose. I have them hooked up at at 4 ohms right now, is there any other way i can hook these up to maximize power? Can i wire these subs to a 2 ohm load? Or will it blow them right away.
you wire 2 svc 4ohm speakers at either 2 or 8 ohms, probably need a better amp, jensen have been known to be low quality, a good 800 @ 2 ohms amp will work, kicker 750.1 would do them justice
