I'm wiring something wrong?

New member Username: BlaaaahhhhhWarrior, Alabama Usa Post Number: 8 Registered: Jan-08 | I just recently purchased a brand new 1 farad rockford fosgate cap, I intalled it with the main power wire goin the 1st positive slot and another wire goin to the the amp from the second positive slot in the cap and I have it grounded, but the lights still dimm and stuff wen it beats hard |

I'm sure everything is wired right, the cap may not be big enough. Post pictures of the WHOLE SETUP!!!!! |

" Half right....... cap won't work in any sitaution. Does your voltage drop when the lights dim? If so you need an HO alternator. |

This is not true.If I have let's just say for example a million farads worth of capacitors and hook everything up in my car and charge the batts and capacitors up using an external charger won't these batts and caps that are charged to 14.4 volts have some effect? Of course they will. |

Sometimes there aren't enough alternators that can support a system  I heard Dominick Iraggi had a car with 13 300 amp alternators installed and I know Alma Gates(Used to be with Kicker) had at least 10 high output alternators on her truck(Called "The Beast" I believe). |
