will a hyfonics zeus Z500D power my alpine type r SWR-1241D good? and if not what amp should i buy?

In most cases any amp will work with any sub. If you want qaulity you need to Match Your RMS Watts from your sub to your amp. it's not a bad idea to go ALITTLE over that value. make sure that the MAX Watts of your amp ARE NOT MORE THAN SUB, just RMS WATTS.
