I jus bought a 2400D directed mono amp and have it hooked up through a 3.0 farad power acoustik capacitor, pushing 1 15" power acoustik 2ohm dual 2600 watt sub in a custom ported box. When i turn the power up the amp cuts off and flashes about 4 times then starts working again. According to the amp manual it is an over current warning. Anybody have any idea why this is happening and what i can do to stop it????? also is there a way for me to have my 2 ohm dual sub running at 1ohm so i can get the more power? thanks

You need to upgrade your electrical system. Start with a HO alternator. With that amp you'll probably need to get a better battery, maybe add some by the amp.

Do this first

Wire your sub this way.

I hope this helps you out.
