If I've got a sub amp and a speaker amp, some 1/0 wiring kickin around, not enough for 2 full runs for each amp, could I not just use 1/0 up to a distribution block, then 1/0 to each amp from the dist block?

Might seem like a stupid question but anyways, thanks for you time.

Depends on how much power your trying to pull, and the wires coming from the dist. block have to be big enough still. If its under 2K you shouldnt have a problem.

That would work out fine Skies. You may need to step the wire size down though using a 1/0 to dual 4Awg or distro block or something like that for your speaker amp.

Yeah, you can use a fused distribution block and do 2 very short runs of 4awg wire from there.

That's the thing though, I don't have any 4awg wire sitting around, would I just be able to use some 1/0 that I have sitting around to save some funds?

Do you already have the block? Most distribution blocks output smaller wire than they accept.

You'll need one like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/DB-Link-Chrome-0-Gauge-T-Distribution-Block-AWG-GA_W0QQitemZ 170109379998QQihZ007QQcategoryZ50550QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

0awg in and 0awg out.

Sure, just strip the wire down to fit it inside the amp's terminals.
