so i want to build a new box but the problem is that i dont think i have enough room to make it to the exact specs. would it be ok if the ported box was a little smaller than what it needs to be. would that sound bad or damage my subs?

also how much room would i have to give my subs for the excusion?? i would have to point them up in the trunk and there wouldnt be as much air to push. does that make any sense to anyone lol??

Ported boxes really need to be built exact to work well. Have you considered using a sealed box? They are smaller and would probably fit. Also with sealed boxes the volume can be a little bit off and not make a big difference.

Depending on what sub it is, and how far off the box would be, you may be able to do it. I would direct this question to Mark Potts, he know more about boxes than probably anybody on this forum.....
