Does anyone know where i can get the aftermarket radio headunit adaptar for 2006 chevrolet equinox. because i talked to my local car audio shop and he said he could order me the peice for 125$. the reason it cost so much is because gm decided to power the airbag and some other things from the radio. YAY!! GM . Im not trying to pay that much.

thanks.

Walmart sells wire harnesses for the cheapest. You will have to check to see if they have one that fits your vehicle.

I'm guessing you mean a wire harness, if that's the case check this.

I think that dealer may have been thinking of this adapter:

That interface is required when installing an aftermarket stereo in a car with the GM LAN system. I don't think the Equinox has that though.

bestbuy sells it for $120
if you dont use it you loose the airbags and your check engine light will stay on. I dont know what gm was thinking when they decided to wire it like that
