As of right now I have my car run with 4guage wire to a 600d orion amp. Stock alt, stock batt, and I get dimming when its up high and I'm stopped. I plan on upgrading to 900-1200 watts and was wondering if I can get by on the 4guage wire? If possible will I be able to get by with big 3, stock alt, and decent battery (which one)?
you should be ok running that much but there really is no sure way to know. measure your voltage drop to see how bad it really is. my lights dim even with a HO alt and kinetik even though my voltage only drops .5v its still enough to notice your lights dimming.
