thanks. the xt-1600.2 i was looking at, ive seen people on other forums say it only puts out 800wrms @ 4 ohm bridged, but on their site it says 1100. it never says if that is watts RMS or not. anyone know?? i want to get a couple of these amps and put 1 on each Fi Q.

second question, anyone know of a good amp around 2000w @ 2ohm or .5ohm stable?? or should i stick with 2 of these amps?

I think its 800 rms, I'm not sure why they call it a 1600 thoe?

It looks like a very nice amp. Good quality board with a nice layout.

Agreed, and this opinion does come from personal experience.

I have owned more than 30 US Amps....including the new AX's. Some of the rarest are even featured on realmofexcursion.

The AX's are as good as, if not better, than their predecessors. Tried, tested, proven.

The 2 lower lines are what you would expect....lower lines. Still good, but wont drop low, and dont do loads more than they are rated at.

The website obviously never was updated to reflect the 800w i have also heard to be true of the 1600.2.

Call Greg. He will tell you for sure.

if you want a soild reliable amp that does nicely @ .5 mono the IA 20.1 is know to putout in excess of 2200 watts and the sundown audio 1500D another outstanding amp measured over 1500 @1.2ohm with about 12 volts! both amps will do in acess of 2K @ .5 mono. the IA is about 200-300 stronger in most cases, but there more expensive. if you budget allows it the IA is one of the nicest amps IMO.

How come Greg from US amps told me the 1600.2 will put out about 900-1000w when it has only 3 20amp fuses? doesnt seem to add up, but i could be wrong.

fuses really dont matter. yea they do to some extent, but just judging the fuse rating is somethin that will give you false info (doiong the math that is) cuz the a bahn a 800t has 60 a of fuse and does 800 while this one sound stream and a couple other ones do 1600 clean with an 75a fuse. a fuse is meant to "blow" when its maximum has been reached, and it takes alot to reach that

a JBL BP 1200.1 has 3x30A fuse and has more output than a lanzar vibe 1800d with 4x30A fuse

the a-bahn adds up. 800watts/14 volts= 57 amps. that makes sense, and so does the JBL.

for the US amps to get 1000w, it would need about 75 amps. that amp only has 3 20amp fuses which =60amps. it would seem that 75 would blow the fuses. you guys are saying this is not true??

for the record, not trying to start argument just being the wondering car audio enthusiast i am :-) yadddiholler!

naw man. fck, i forgot the equation, but you use the equation with the RMS is says it will put out and the amount of fuses, and it will give the the spprox rms that the amp will put out. thats what were talkin bout. i'll try to figre out the equation..

yea, i got it. so if you have the a bahn amp..

and 800 rms @ 14.4 volts with 2 30a fuses

watts = volts x amps

14.4 x 60 = 864 watts.. thats if it is 100% efficient. so if the a bahn was class d lets say (75% around there) you would multiply 864 x class of amp. so 864 x 75% = 648 watts or so. but the a bah isnt class d, so im just showin u an example

actually juliob from what i just researched they seem about the same, or thats what i get out of what i read because they kept being compared to the efficancy of the class D

G/H are more complex, but pretty much the same.... might be more efficient or equal
