So im planning on buying the RF P3001 amp. I need it to run a P2 15" Rockford Fostgate sub. The sub is 4 ohm and can handle 250W RMS, and 500W max. Will this amp be able to push the sub, since tha amps only 150WRMS @ 4 ohm??. If so how will it sound cause i want pure SPL. I can get the amp from a store in town for $79.99

150 watts will push a 250W rms/500W max sub, just not to its peak performance, so you won't get everything you could out of it.

You can run it at 150wrms.. every speaker has a RMS RANGE it can run at. the high end of the RMS range is where you need to run it for the BEST performance of the speaker. I have two 88150.4 eclipses that run at 1000 per pair rms and I'm putting 750 (give or take a few watts) and they sound amazing! Eclipse recommends 300-500 rms per speaker.

Anyways, 150wrms is fine, but if you can afford it, bump up one amp to the 300wrms
