Im getting a car soon and was looking to put a JL 12w7 or a 13W7 in. What would be the best amp to run the sub. I'm kinda a noob at this but would the JL 1000.1 be the best or would a directed 2400d work?
Which sub? You're talking about a 250 watt RMS difference.
For the 13 w7, use one of these three: JL 1000/1 Van Gogh 1600.2 PPI PCX2400
For the 12 w7, you can use the JL 1000/1 or the 500/1, and I can easily say the 500/1 will still make the sub sound awesome. There are a lot of amps out there for the 12w7...hard to list them all.
