ALTERNATOR help!!

I have a 01' crown vic with a stock alternator, i want to get a hifonics bx1505d to run my single ORION H2 12" sub. My cars pretty big do you think my alternator would run this amp ok? Im not sure of the alternators output.. any ideas?

IMO No becuase most stock alts are 50-105 amps

most likely u will need a bigger ALT! factory maybe 120 or so, but at idle it maybe like 30amps.. So get a HO alternator maybe 200amps, that will give u about 180 amps at idle....
it will be a HUGE difference!
if your $$ is tight, hook it up first, then see if your lights dim slightly.. is that your only amp??

Yea i shoulda got a diffrent sub but o well my H2 is here to stay and i cant upgrade the alternator no matter what so its not an option period. If i got the bx1505d and it drawe to much power would dimming lights and a weak sounding sub be the only problems?? Plus if i kept the sub at a resonable level i doubt id have a real problem..no? My friend has a 12" w7 and a 1000/1 when he turnes it up the lights dim but thats all...he has a small hatchback civiv..my car is a crown vic lol
