WIREs and LENGTH

Now is it best to use least ammount of wire possible and not have any wires that are extra long say the ones going to your subs because i dont know if its right but i could decrease the power going through the wire since its going suh a far way? Does it matter i got the thick speaker wire not the monster cable but the triple the size of a normal speaker wire going to my subs and i think i could chop off about 5 inches of wire would that make a difference of ammount of amps reaching the amp or no?

the length of the speaker wire isn't that important, and anything that's at least 16AWG is plenty for subs. Monster wire isn't necessary.
Power and Ground wires are the ones that are affected more by length and gauge for the amount of current they can carry.
high current DC voltage for power. High voltage AC voltage for speakers. apples and oranges in a sense.
