Can you turn the sub on and off on the alpine 9835(that's one of the features I liked on my old pioneer)..

also, is it true that it only uses military time ?

and finally, I've been hearing that alpines have been having issues with reading mp3 discs i.e. it's slow reading the cd and doesn't read some mp3 cds at times, any truth to this ?

ps: reason I'm posting on this part of the board is because the headunit section and the other sections seem to be down I think

if the unit has a sub output and you're using an amp with that then yes you can turn off the subs.

as for time settings for that unit, go download the manual PDF and read it

Alpines read any MP3 CD I've used, and read very quickly. If people are having problems, they're most likely using crappy writing software or just don't know how to write a decent MP3 CD to start with, or are illegally downloading corrupted MP3s that don't read properly.
