When adding a 2nd Battery?

Ok my amp wont turn on.

I added a 2nd battery to the cargo area but its not grounded so thats why the amp wont turn on?

Also im using regular hose clapms for them

dont use a 2nd battery unless you have a HO Alternator, it will just put more strain on your stock alt. and battery. check your ground wiring again and look at these:http://www.wickedcases.com/caraudio/capacitors.html

Im using a 2nd battery because I have a 1985 jimmy and i dont want to put a strain on the alternator

HO - High output.
To get use out of a 2nd battery your alt has to be able to charge it. If your amp(s) is/are large enough to stress your alternator adding a 2nd battery will only make it worse.

i have a 250.1 mon amp and i have to connect hte 2nd battery thats in the crago area to the alertenator?
