CANON or SONY?

I had a Sony P9 in the past and was happy with it. 7 months ago I bought a Sony DSC-T9 and very unhappy with the results. Pictures are always redish and a bit grainy in low light even with flash. I have been a great fan of SONY in the past but this camera has really put me off.

Now I am looking to get a new one to replace this as it really is no good.

I was looking at CANON IXUS 900 Ti and it seems impressive on paper but is it really any good?

I have a choice to go for the above or maybe choose a different Sony camera with a mechanical lens rather than a flat lens.

Please help an advise.

There are various threads on Sony vs Canon. Read them all...but they all point to Canon. NOT Sony.

That thread started then, but the same question keeps getting asked (I think it's over 300 posts now) and it's the same answer every time: Canon over Sony.
