Most of the stations here in Monroe are out of gas, and the ones that have it are gouging like a mothafuka.

Yesterday it was $3.59, now the stations are selling for $3.98.

Whats it like in your area?

seen it at 3.39, but is about 3.53 at most.
My local supermarket has some thing going on, every dollar you spend is a point. and 200 points is $1. I had 400 points and filled the van and Magnum full for $1.96 a gallon. But that only happens about once a month.

Not surprised. The low hurricane impact this year was a disappointment for the oil companies. They're going to generate their own shortage by stopping the refining. It's going to get worse.

My home in

Massachusetts...$3.37 gal regular

SW Florida...$3.45

Not much difference, and going DOWN daily..also fuel is abundant in both areas..

Months ago, I expected this drop in prices to happen now, due to the upcoming elections. Wait til after the elections and see what happens, depending on which party gets elected. The present administration has many ties to Big Oil, Wall street, and setting the prices.

What the fuck?

Thres maybe 5 stations in town that have some. and regular is at 3.99.

It seems like the gas shortages are just in the southeast. Im not sure but im guessing we get out gas from the refineries that were shut down for Ike.
But then where does everyone elses gas come from?

2 days ago we ran out for the second time. so when trucks come and refill the stations that gas in gone in a matter of hours. There aren't meny opportunities to get gas without waiting in line for an hour.
The prices were at 3.99 this mourning but i saw 4.12 with everyone lined up there on my way home.
It wouldnt be that big of a deal if people wouldn't freak out as if this were the last gas on the planet. But of course they do so stations cant keep a steady flow.

WTF:-(

My home in

Massachusetts...$3.37 gal regular, as of Sept 15th...now 14 days (2 weeks) later its risen to $3.49..a 12 cent increase..

I'm guessing the hurricanes in the Gulf, and up along the Atlantic towards Maine, have caused this increase....affecting the rigs, production, refineries and transport (rail, and truckers)..

Gas dropped today from 3.49 down to 3.31...go figure..

Must have something to do with the Dow 485 point stock market increase yesterday, after the 778 loss the day before..

as I always said, Big Oil, Wall ST and investors ...can make oil and gas prices whatever they want!

its still 3.68 here and many gas stations are out... We just went to the carolina panthers game last week and around charlotte we had to get off at about 10 exits and after getting off at every other exit I went in a station and asked where to find it. They canceled community college classes in the western part of the state b/c of the gas shortage...

$2.99!!! Oil has dropped below $90/barrel. The stock market is in baaad shape and unemployment right along side it, forcing the good ole American grind to slow down. Gas prices will mirror the recession as ppl stay home and industry dries up. It's funny how some believe the oil companies helped us into the recession thus killing their own customers. I can't %100 side with that notion but like to see the oil companies hurt as much if not more than us.

Yeah I'm happy it's on the way down but not "happiest" until it goes below $2, if that ever happens. When gas rose above the price of milk it was highway robbery. Right now it's still 33% more than it should be. And it's not on cigs or beer or anything like that.

Don't let these falling prices fool ya..with Wall St the way it is , of course prices are going to fall...once theres a slight rebound, watch the prices bounce back up!

yeah here its dropped 70 cents in past month...but thats nothing to the drop on Wall ST and the national economy!...if it hits $2.00, you better be prepared to be standing in the breadline , waiting for food to feed your family!

Mass is now down to $2.49..from $3.49, a month ago...and so is crude and Wall St, along with the economy!...there's an obvious correlation amongst all of this!...what doesn't correlate is that, for the consumers, gas is still NOT down to the prices is was a year ago when crude was comparable..

Nope..mine is a 4 door SLT, with a tow package (tow my boat often)...1996 and looks and runs cherry!...and recently tuned up for the first time ever at 112,000 miles...previously I was only getting 12-14 on the highway..

Changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air cleaner, etc...it made a HUGE difference...I use to need fuel after 225 miles, but now I can go 400 miles...Car ran great previously too before tuneup, and never shuttered or heard misfiring plugs etc, but I knew it was time for a tuneup, since that motor (Vortex 4.3L) is usually good for 100K, then requires a tuneup..Oil has always been changed at 3,000 miles..

I have other newer vehicles, but this is my favorite and most comfortable and smooth riding..
