trying to decide what my next vehical will be i have a small ford probe right now but i just need somethig more compatable with life. it gets good gas millage and takes turns quite nice. but thats it. anyway was trying to decide between toyota tacoma 2005-2006 or a 2004 dodge dakota i don't want a big truck but it has to be 4wd. so any ideas or something?

(iv done alot since the pic but my camera broke)

tacoma isnt a bad choice though. personally id never buy one. what about like a 2003ish chevy 1500 they are decent trucks. also the nissan frontiers arnt bad either. just to small for me i like big trucks :-)

what kind of gas milage do you expect because comming from a probe expect it to be alot worse. my car gets 24-31 mpg and my truck gets 6-8

Tacoma for sure. The new Dakota is kinda ugly, IMO. My friend has an '06 Tacoma though and its badass.

"my truck gets 6-8"

man that makes me feel a little better about my mileage. I'm getting twice that in my jeep.

if you can afford the tacoma, tacoma all the way!!! If you wanted something less expensive, but not quite as nice, look into a 4x4 Ranger, bad@ss lil trucks

the frontier is a lot better than a tacoma IMO. I chose the frontier after driving them both. I would test drive a few things before you make your mind up. I was dead set on a taco but things def. changed when I drove it.

Now you want power in a yota, get the tundra. My dad had one and their was more power than he could ever use in that. Bent my friends 2500 over and r/\ped it.

How new does it have to be. Chevy S10....... easy to work on and parts are cheap as hell.

Just make sure it has the 4.3 engine not the 2.2..... damn those things suck.

if you do go with an S10, MS is right here, definitely get the 4.3L, anything else and you're not a man.

I agree with Andrew... Nissan/Infiniti > Toyota/Lexus

glad some one does bard. People around here are riding yotas dick. The older, 4 cyl tacos are sweet and IMO on par with the hardbodys, but the newer ones dont compare to the frontiers.

ehren, 6-8 is what happens when your running a semi-built .03 over carbed 460

its expensive to drive anywhere but its worth it.

Well that was back in 2002. The name alone would've sold it. Just like the Hummers lol.

Honestly I don't like the look of them. That's just me.
