Here goes, I want to hang my speakers on the wall, and I also want to run the wires through, I was wondering if it were possible to open the baseboard from the top and drag the wires from one side of the wall to the other side. Is this possible and what tools would be used for opening the baseboard. I don't want to see any of the wires, or make a whole above the baseboard and then put the wires against the wall. Is such a thing possible, if you have other methods please post them with detail and what tools are required.

It depends on the depth of your baseboard. You have a 2x4 bottom plate for your wall. When you drill your hole for the wire, be sure it is at least 2" from the deck and no where near a stud to avoid drilling through electric lines. You can pry off the base pretty easily with either a prybar or heavy duty putty knife. Don't use a hammer without backing it with something or you'll drive your hammer right into the wall.
