I go to the NAMM show every year that I am not on the road and I have been to probably six or seven CES shows. They are a blast and everybody gets totally hammered. Stories are endless over the years, including the time I looked through Debbie Reynolds purse, talked to Pat Smear (ex Nirvana guitarist) for half an hour in the Hilton bar about Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, saw the whole Los Lobos band emerge from a stairway followed by a huge smoke cloud and the pungent odor of chronic, partied with Puck of MTV fame and got to witness a "snot rocket" in person, met Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles in a single day, and on and on. This year I am heading to NAMM with a couple buddies -- Pando of Flock Of Seagulls and Marco Mendoza of Thin Lizzy....two bass players ugh should be an adventure. Anyone going out? Let me know and maybe we can hook up somewhere and represent.
