Yep. I love this city. That drive sucks though.

What tripped me out was how I'm driving through sacramento, It looks country, then right off the freeway is arco arena.

My ex and I went to Homestead Florida to visit an Uncle. 6 hours into the drive, when it was time to switch, she tells me she doesn't drive at night. Asleep she went. 12hrs.
Oh, then the next day we (I) drove to Key west. Those in Fla know the drive....

yeah i know what you mean.

california is boring to drive through. its nothing but flat land for a long time. at least you can see what your car tops out at cause the freeway is straight through most parts of the interstate 5 freeway.

once we hit oregon it was like driving up in the mountains. the air is cleaner and cooler. then we got to washington and it started raining as usual.

Probably the time, when I was younger, that I "ran away from home"..I was going to go to California, and try to make it big there..anyway, I made it from where I was living, to a town near my home town, about a 7 hour drive. I called home then, and my parents talked me into coming back...so a total of 14 hours.

Thanks guys :-)

That was back in '03. It was not as messed up as it is now.

The drive through Kuwait was not so bad, but once you cross the border to Iraq, we are all in crapville. No one is allowed to take a nap in the vehicle at anytime. We had to ride with a convoy because our C-130 was delayed and we had to move really quick. We've all been briefed about IEDs but it was not as prolific at that time. It went without incident.
