I asked in the home audio section one day about what I would need to get car audio loud inside a home audio setup and they started telling me to keep it turned down and I was going to make myself go deaf. LOL. I'm not doggin on them, but it SEEMS like they are a little more up tight than everyone in car audio. |

There are members who float around and post all over the forum. Then there some who stay in one section and only reply to those they know. The best/friendliest help comes from those who "roam". Berny is at the top of that short list, IMO. |

But like most guys I have to go with the Car Audio section. Very helpful and I learned a lot since I know squat about that area. It's more fun over there and not a lot of uptight people. It's fun just lurking around and read all the comments. And the way people swarm on an ignorant fool who thinks they know more than anybody, LOL! I like Pauls pics...a picture is indeed worth a thousand words. I also learned that Audiobahn is crap. DDs are speakers and not Daredevil the blind superhero. Alpine is good but they also make crap like the type r. That subwoofers boxes for car audio can be tuned to differing frequencies depending on which particular bump you are trying to achieve.... I've learned a lot from you guys. |

As far as I know, the only planar drivers for cars are eminent tech. tweeters as of right now. |

I started out posting in the home audio section only to find out that most of the posters there are in dire need of psychiatric help. It is possibly due to overloaded useless wrong information from high end audio salesmen. Most of these psychopaths have never built a system on their own or do they know how to build a box, let alone a crossover. But they can type up a 77 page thesus on phase and sound stage, bauhaumbug... Needless to say I dropped by the car audio section and found out that this section had what I had. A dear passion for sound. People here like to build their own systems, not buy them off the shelf, and therefore have respect for the truth. I believe the subwoofer section is the best section at ecoustics because afterall we are here to discuss, not make up useless paragraphs about something we know nothing about. Go Subwoofer section. |
