OT Melting Plastic

just wondering what temp plastic starts to melt.. painted some dash piece of my car and I wanted to put it in the oven to let it cure but I was not sure how hot to get the oven

hmm i think its pretty dependant on the plastic, becuase theres like so many types.


best bet is to put some on well something and put it in the oven first.

i figured it would be hard because of the types of plastics.. guess i was looking for a generalization. it must withstand heat well seeing it is used on the dash.. the interiors of cars get pretty hot. i stuck it in for 170degrees so if it melts ill let yall know lol

i melted a wire terminal on my box recently lol, started smelling this weird odor and couldnt pin point where it was coming from, checked the box and sure enough, the terminal was all messed up
