When you enable time intelligence in Power BI, you provide users the opportunity to analyze performance over time, identify trends over time, and to create reports that dynamically update. The first step is to create a date table, which can cover the dates necessary for your project. Your date table need to include all necessary functions for date, such as Year, Quarter Month, Week and Day, and will need to be marked as a "Date Table" in Power BI.
With the DAX functions TOTALYTD(), SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR(), DATESMTD() and PARALLELPERIOD(), you can create a measure, with looks at your measures within a month, or year, or a unique time period, giving you an opportunity for reporting like year over year growth or a rolling 12 months.
You can also use DAX and slicers to include custom time periods, like fiscal calendars or limitations on relative dates ( example Last 7 or Last 30).
Professionals wanting to learn is very helpful for you to take a Power Bi Course in Pune or any other local courses which provide a demand for hands on modules.
